BLONDE BOCK

Golden Bock Lager
Gordon Biersch Blonde Bock is the year-round Bock beer offering, which is complemented by spring and winter seasonals, the Maibock and WinterBock. Blonde Bock is the lightest of the three, with a bright, glowing golden color, and a creamy ivory head. The aroma is primarily sweet pilsner malt, somewhat reminiscent of kettle corn, with a barely perceptible citrusy and floral hop character that follows the malt sweetness, and a clean lager yeast character. The hops are not strong on the palate, but they make their presence known. After the initial impression of lightly citrusy hops, clean semi-sweet malt dominates the flavor mid-palate before the bright hops return to provide subtle balance to the malt in the semi-dry finish. The Blonde Bock is medium-full bodied with low carbonation and a creamy body, along with a slight warming sensation from the 7% alcohol by volume. Recommended pairings include contrasting flavors, like the salty savoriness of roast suckling pig or rotisserie chicken, or complementary sweeter desserts like lemon bars or apple pie.
